To apply for residence cards issued on the basis of income declaration, there has always been a minimum, below which it was impossible to count on a residence permit.
Required minimum income The approach to determining the income criterion is as follows – one amount is set for a single applicant, and another for each member of a family consisting of more than 1 person.
Since 2025, the indicators are as follows: For a single working foreigner, this amount will be PLN 1,010 net per month.
For each member of a family consisting of more than one person – PLN 823 net per month for each.
Please note that we are talking exclusively about net income, i.e. after deducting all necessary taxes and social payments – the so-called “take-home” amount. If more than 1 person works in a family, the total income is considered.
Once again – we are talking exclusively about work cards. But the required minimum wage may not exist, for example, if we are talking about part-time work or part-time work. In this case, both the applicant himself (the salary is below the minimum) and his family (the income criterion is not met) may not have enough funds. In this case, there is only one way to correct the situation – to increase the level of income. This may be a review of the existing employment relationship, a search for a new job or part-time employment – the income for the residence card for work can be accepted as a total, from several sources.
